Shinto B/F wing construction
-
Outer layer of Carboline 75 2/45 with D-box reinforced on the front part;
-
The wing back shear web;
-
The inner layer
- Carboline 39 2/45- B version;
- Carboline 75 2/45- F version;
-
The flap hinge;
-
The flap shear web;
-
The sandwich material;
-
The spar bottom cap of high modulus carbon fiber;
-
The spar top cap of high modulus carbon fiber;
-
High-strength epoxy glue for the sparr;
-
Main spar shear web of balsa plywood with direction ±45 degree;
-
Main spar shear web of Carboline 39 2/45;
-
The wing ballast box.
Shinto J wing
Shinto J has no ballast pocket in the wing. 550 g of the ballast can be placed in the wing joiner only.
Difference between Shinto LDS & RDS wings
For make Shinto order you must choice Shinto LDS or Shinto RDS version because:
-
Different servo pocket size and orientation in RDS and LDS wing version;
-
Brass bearings for flap RDS shaft Ø5mm has glued into wing already;
-
Brass bearings for aileron RDS shaft Ø4.5mm has glued into wing already;
-
Carbon RDS pockets has integrated to flaps and ailerons already (for 3 mm RDS shafts) ;
-
Pockets for horns installation has prepared in flaps and aileron already for LDS version.
We can install RDS system to Shinto wing for: MKS 6126 mini and KST 135 servos.
We can install LDS systems to Shinto wings for servos: Futaba S 3173 SVi ; JR (Graupner DS 3288, JR DS 171, JR DS 179 HV, JR DS 189 HV, JR DS 378, JR DS 398).
Shinto B/F wing joiner
-
Joiner caps of high modulus carbon fiber (for F3B) and high-strength carbon (for F3F);
-
Joiner shear web with ballast box of carbon braids;
-
Joiner vertical caps of high-strength carbon perceive shock during landing.
Shinto wing joiner is made of carbon prepreg in the steel mold with high pressure and temperature 130C.
Wing joiner weighs 117 grams. Wing joiner has additional ballast cameras for mounting 670 g of the ballast.
Shinto Fuselage
Shinto fuselage is laminated in aluminum mold using pressure balloon.
The forward part is made of Kevlar and high modulus glass. It is 2,4Ghz friendly. The rear part is laminated of high modulus carbon fiber.
Shinto fuselage tail part construction
-
Outer and inner layers of Carboline 65 2/45 perceive the torsional loads of the V-tail;
-
Outer and inner layers of Carboline 65 2/45 perceive the torsional loads of the V-tail;
-
The longitudinal layers of high modulus carbon fiber provide high stiffness of the fuselage.
V-tail horn hatch of carbon is ready completely. It is necessary to fix it by adhesive tape on the fuselage.
The semitransparent Shinto canopy is made of plastic. The logo of Shinto and VM is not just sparkling in the sun, but it is the reinforcement rib also. The ribs provide secure fit of the canopy to the fuselage by the clips.
Shinto and Shinto fuselage set are equipped with nose ballast. Weight of nose ballast is about 100g.
Shinto V-tail
Shinto V-tail is made as sandwich construction. The stabilizers are fitted to fuselage completely and the elevator horns are installed.
Stabilizers must be secured with tape on the fuselage after assembly.
"It is a fantastic model. The flying qualities make it very easy to fly. It has now proven itself in very strong winds, gusting to 30m/s, as well as light winds of only 3m/s on small slopes. "
